<p>This diet is much like the diet our ancestors ate. The hunter-gathers of our past had a diet that was based more in nature. The food we consume today is far removed from our roots as humans. The diet our ancient ancestors ate was based around the consumption of plants and animal foods. They hunted and ate what they could.</p>
<p>Since the introduction of agriculture our diet has shifted from our ancient past. Grains became more widely consumed after we discovered stone tools. After we invented rolling wheels and shifting devices we could produce milk, cheese, and domesticate our livestock. Meat consumption rose with increased animal husbandry and we fed grains to cattle so they would fatten up. Once we hit the Industrial Revolution we increased our consumption of sugars.</p>

<p>To keep your body in balance you need to eat 60% alkaline and around 40% of acidic foods. The foods that are low are almost acidic so they should be eliminated. Here are some ways to focus in on the diet.</p>
<p><strong>1.  Eat Salads &#8211; </strong>Try to consume salads because they have that alkaline effect on the body plus the low calories means you can eat quite a lot. Use spinach, romaine lettuce and other vegetables. A salad with your main really is a wise choice on this weight plan.</p>
